Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2005 at St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martin, MN for Marie Klassen, age 86, who died Tuesday at the Albany Area Hospital. Burial will be in parish cemetery. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Sunday and from 8:30- 10:30 a.m. Monday morning at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond. Parish prayers will be at 4:00 p.m. followed by the Catholic Aid Association, Daughters of Isabella, Christian Women, Our Lady of Fatima Mission Group and the Rosary Society.
Marie was born in St. Martin, MN to Nicholas and Rose (Kollmann) Moscho. She married Alois Klassen on October 14, 1940 in St. Martin, MN. She was a homemaker and worked side by side with her husband on the farm. Her family meant the world to her and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the apple of her eye. Marie enjoyed baking, sewing, crocheting, flowers and decorating. She was a member of St. Martin Parish, Catholic Aid Association, Daughters of Isabella, Our Lady of Fatima Mission Group and the Rosary Society.
Survivors include her children, Veneel Mehr of Twin Falls, Idaho, Athleen Dingman of Freeport, Robert of Albany, Jean Haider of Belgrade, Larry of St. Cloud, Mary Swiers of Avon and Tom of Maple Lake; brothers and sisters, Irene Schulzetenberg of Sauk Centre, Katherine Funk of Freeport, Joseph Moscho of Melrose, Rosemary Hinnenkamp of Brooten, Nicholas Moscho of St. Martin and Virginia Fuchs of Paynesville; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Alois; daughter, Linda Klassen; granddaughter, Sandi Haider and brother, Wilfred Moscho.
