Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, August 31, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral in St. Cloud for Catherine F. Notch, age 91 of St. Cloud who died Sunday, August 27, 2006 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Reverend Steven Binsfeld will officiate. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. on Thursday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Parish prayers and St. Anne's Christian Women prayers will be on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home in St. Cloud.
Catherine was born on January 3, 1915 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Henry and Anna (Stangler) Hollenkamp. She married Norbert E. Notch on June 5, 1933 at St. Mary's Cathedral. She lived in St. Cloud most of her life. She was a co-owner of Tri-N Ceramics in St. Cloud. Catherine was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral Parish, St. Anne's Christian Women and St. Marie Goretti's Mission Group. Catherine was a member of the Tri-County Horseshoe Association and won many awards. Her other interests include quilting, knitting, sewing and crafts.
Catherine is survived by her children, Beverly (Everett) Nathe of St. Stephen, Marylin (Garry) Flam of St. Cloud, Cathleen Lesnau of Cape Coral, Florida, Donald (Linda) of Albany and Sandy (Rick) Karasch of St. Joseph; 29 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1978, children, Carol Bibeau, Norma Hennen and Phyllis Negaard; two grandchildren; one great great grandson and nine brothers and sisters.
