Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Melrose, for Eric J. Koopmeiners, of 1320-15th St. N, formerly of Melrose, who died Friday of injuries received in a motor vehicle accident. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 3:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home, Melrose. Parish prayers will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Eric Koopmeiners was born in Melrose to James and Cathy (Tiemann) Koopmeiners. He worked as an assistant driller for Traut Wells in Waite Park. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Melrose.
Survivors include his mother of Melrose; grandparents, Florence Koopmeiners of Melrose, and Tony Tiemann of Melrose; and brothers and sister, Kevin of Burnsville, Jeff of Albany, and Wendy of Denver.
He also leaves behind his special friend, Cheryl Hallermann of St. Cloud.
