Alvina E. Wielenberg, 90, of St. Francis, died Nov. 24, 2004, at the Albany Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial celebrating her life was held on Saturday, Nov. 27, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, St. Francis. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Alvina was born in Melrose to Herman and Anna (Stalboerger) Hollermann. She married Henry Wielenberg on May 29, 1934, at St. Boniface in Melrose. Together they farmed all their married life. Alvina was a 50 year plus member of the St. Francis Sewing Circle, Christian Mothers, Catholic Aid Society, St. Mary's Mission Group and St. Francis Catholic Church.
Alvina is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Henry, St. Francis; children, Alvin (Jackie), Burtrum; Hilda (Ray) Barthel, Holdingford; Hermie (Irene), Millie (Werner "Vern") Gerads, all of Albany; Herb (Sharon), Freeport, 30 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, five step-great-great-grandchildren, brothers, Joseph (Mary Ann) Hollermann, Chatfield; Bernard (Marcella) Hollermann, Melrose; and Lawrence (Nellie) Hollermann, Little Falls.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Norbert in 1989, and brothers, Henry, Alfred, Edwin, Norbert, Aloys, Edward and John Hollermann.
