Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church for Ida Mae Johnson, 73, 101 Fifth Ave. NW, who died Saturday at Fairview University Medical Center, Minneapolis.Burial will be in the parish cemetery.Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Daniel Funeral Home. St. Joseph Senior Citizens will pray at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in St. Joseph followed by parish prayers at 7 and VFW Post Auxiliary 5773 at 7:30.
Ida Mae Johnson was born in St. Joseph to Joseph and Ida (Horsch) Viehauser. She was employed by the U.S. Treasury Department in Chicago during World War II. She married Robert G. Johnson on Nov. 20, 1947, in St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She was a deputy clerk for the City of St. Joseph for 15 years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of St. Joseph Senior Citizens, St. Joseph VFW Post Auxiliary 5773, Catholic Order of Foresters 713 and St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband; children, Jean Daniel, Michael and Carol of St. Cloud, Charles of Marty, Joseph of St. Joseph, Robert Jr. of Ramsey; eight grandchildren; and brother, Robert of St. Joseph.She was preceded in death by sister, Renee Hiemenz and brother, Dan.
