Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Shirley A. Stroeing, 63, who died Thursday at her home. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Daniel Funeral Home in St. Joseph. St. Joseph Senior Citizens will pray at 4 p.m. and parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Shirley Stroeing was born in St. Cloud to Henry and Melinda (Binczik) Buersken. She worked at Lakeland Bakery and at Franklin Manufacturing in St. Cloud. She married Celestine Stroeing on July 18, 1966. They lived in St. Cloud until 1986 when they moved to Waverly, Neb. They returned to St. Stephen in 1994 and moved to St. Joseph in 1997. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joseph.
She is survived by her husband; children, Sheryl Czech of St. Joseph, Linda Ketola of Grasston, Jim Honer of St. Stephen, and Ruth Ostendorf, Mark Honer and Sandy Rosenberger of St. Cloud; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and brother, June of North St. Paul.
