Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 19 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Melrose for Marie Rademacher who died Sunday, July 16 at Pine Villa Care Center in Melrose. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Christian Mothers will pray at 6:30 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7:30 p.m.
Marie Rademacher was born August 25, 1917 in Melrose Township, Stearns County to Ben E. and Catherine (Hemmesch) Otte. She was united in marriage to Norbert Rademacher on July 17, 1945 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Melrose. The couple lived in Melrose where they raised their children. Marie was employed at St. Marys School as a cook for a number of years. She served as the caretaker of St. Patricks Catholic Church for many years. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Melrose and the Christian Mothers.
Survivors include her children, Carol Trisko (Richard) of Sauk Centre, Jerry Rademacher (JoAnn) of Melrose, Alan Rademacher (Alice) of St. Cloud, Janet Rademacher of Melrose, Dennis Rademacher of Melrose, Neil Rademacher of Willmar, Steven Rademacher (Brenda) of Melrose, and Joan Terharr (Mark) of Santee, CA; 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Irene Tiemann of Melrose, Casimir Otte (Irma) Sauk Centre, Anna Mae Denne of Melrose, Bonita Mickels (Clarence) of Moorhead, Joseph Otte of Melrose, and Betty Dickhaus (Vernon) of Melrose.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norbert; children, Judith and Daniel; granddaughter, Marion Marie Rademacher; and sisters, Catherine Otte and Sister Edna Otte, O.S.B
