Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. on Friday, June 25, 2004 at St. Margaret¹s Catholic Church in Lake Henry for Loretta B. Kollmann, age 91, of Lake Henry, who died Monday at the Koronis Manor in Paynesville. Reverend Leo Leisen will officiate. Burial will take place in St. Margaret¹s Parish Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. on Thursday at the Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville and after 9 a.m. on Friday at St. Margaret¹s Catholic Church. St. Margaret¹s Rosary Society and Christian Women will pray at 4:30 p.m. and Parish Prayers will be at 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Loretta was born August 18, 1912 in Freeport, Minnesota to Ferdinand and Catherine (Kerfeld) Meyer. She grew up in Freeport and attended Holy Ghost Academy College in Joliet, Ill and St. Cloud State University. She married John Kollmann on June 10, 1940 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport. Loretta was a homemaker and teacher for 25 years. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, flowers, gardening, birds, oil painting and sharing stories with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of St. Margaret¹s Catholic Church, Rosary Society and Christian Women and was a CCD teacher.
Surviving Loretta are: her husband John, her children: Marjorie (Stephen) Molstad of Hayward, WI, Raymond (MaryLou) Kollmann of Baltimore, MD, Hubert ³Herb² Kollmann of St. Cloud, Mark (Anne Marie) Kollmann of Ham Lake, Fred Kollmann of LaCrescent, Inez (Bill) Lintz of Anusa, CA, Wally (Mary Lou) Kollmann of Paynesville, Tom (Nancy) Kollmann of Richmond, Alice Kollmann (Dennis St. Peter) of Santa Cruz, CA, and Connie (Bob) Dolan of Winter Springs, FL, her 26 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, and her sisters Marie Moscho, Sr. Mary Jude Meyer, OSB, and Bernadette Lauer.
Preceding her in death are her parents, son Ervin, granddaughter Amy Kollmann, grandson Ray Kollmann, Jr., brothers Joe and Al Meyer and sisters Evelyn Rademacher and Margaret Lauer.
