Funeral services will be 2 PM on Friday, March 28, 2003 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in St. Joseph for Loretta R. Horsch, age 80, of St. Joseph who died on Monday, March 24, 2003 at St. Benedict's Center. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call between 4-8 PM on Thursday and after 12 noon on Friday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Joseph, MN. St. Joseph Senior Citizens will pray at 4:30 PM on Thursday at the funeral home in St. Joseph followed by St. Joseph parish prayers at 7 PM.
Loretta was born on July 6, 1922 in Melrose, MN to Theodore and Caroline (Kuhlman) Hinnenkamp. She married Delphin M. Horsch on Sept. 30, 1944 in Melrose, MN. Her brother Rev. Norbert Hinnenkamp officiated. She lived in St. Joseph most of her married life where she owned and operated Frisky Bait with her husband. She also was employed by the College of St. Benedict for 13 years. She was a member of St. Joseph parish. Loretta will always be remembered for her love of family, friends and her wonderful sense of humor.
She is survived by her children: Kathi vom Saal and her husband Fred of Columbia, MO, Cheri Horsch of St. Cloud, Joan Westerhoff and her husband Mike of St. Joseph, Gerry Horsch and his wife Connie of St. Joseph; grandchildren Curt and Chris Westerhoff and Ashley Horsch; 4 great grandchildren; brother and sister: Alphonse of Milwaukee, WI and Anne Kollmann of St. Cloud.
She was preceded in death by her husband in November of 1986 and 8 brothers and sisters. Funeral arrangements are with Daniel Funeral Home, St. Joseph, MN.
