STRICKLAND, FREDERICK "PETE," 69, of Homosassa, formerly of Tampa, died Monday (Sept. 24, 2001) at home under the care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County. Born in Tampa, he was a lifelong resident of Citrus County. He was the former owner of a furniture store. He was a member of the West Citrus Elks Lodge 2693, Crystal River Moose Lodge 2013 and the Gators Booster Club. He was Baptist.

Survivors include three sons, Joseph, Tampa, Jeff, Homosassa, and Daryl, Fort Myers; a daughter, Susan Voth, Lutz; a sister, Carol Drake, Crystal River; eight grandchildren; and a companion, Peggy Gant, Williston. Wilder-Fountains Funeral Home, Homosassa Springs.
