Obituary of Mrs. Kaspar Nathe, Translated by Lidwina (Luetmer) Stacy, from Der Nordstern (Stearns Co., MN German Language Newspaper), Thursday 30 June, 1887, pg 2:

After several weeks of suffering died the week before last in Meyer's Grove, well prepared with the comforts (last Sacraments) of our holy religion, the wife of Kaspar Nathe in her 48th year.

The deceased suffered from dropsy (an abnormal collection of fluids in the tissues of the body). She left her grieving husband with 9 children. Under great support on the part of the parish as well as the neighborhood, the burial took place. To the deceased, eternal rest, and to the survivors our deep felt sympathy.
