Mar 19, 2000 Services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church for Clara C. Blommer, 81, formerly of 45 Fourth Ave. N, who died Sunday at St. Benedict's Center, St. Cloud.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, St. Cloud. Friends may call from 4 to 9 tonight at Daniel Funeral Home. Christian Women will pray at 7 tonight at the funeral home in St. Cloud followed by parish prayers at 7:30.
Clara Blommer was born in Rockville to Nicholas and Cecilia (Dietman) Strack. She married Norbert G. Blommer on Oct. 30, 1940, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Waite Park. She was employed by Dayton's until she retired in 1990. She later worked at the St. Cloud Children's Home as a foster grandmother. She lived in Waite Park most of her life. She was a member of St. Joseph's parish and the Christian Women.
Survivors include her children, Jo Ann West of Rice, Lucille Heinen of Marty, Butch, Herb and Mark of Waite Park, Clara Ann Janssen of St. Cloud, Ken of Sauk Rapids, Charlie of Minneapolis, and Mary Johnson of Saginaw; 29 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Mildred Savage, Lorraine Harren, LaVerne Christian, Herbert and Ellie of Waite Park.
She was preceded in death by her husband in September 1974; and son, David in June of 1994.
Memorials are preferred.
