Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 29, 2006 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in St. Cloud, MN for Monica Catherine Hagemeier age 88 of St. Cloud, MN who died on Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at the Koronis Manor Nursing Home in Paynesville, MN. The Reverend Timothy Baltes will be the celebrant. Entombment will be in the Assumption Mausoleum in St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 28, 2006 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and on Friday morning from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul's Catholic Church. St. Paul's Parish Prayers will be at 5:30 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Monica was born on May 31, 1918 in St. Joseph, MN the daughter of Edmund and Josephine (Kohorst) Hagemeier. She attended country school near St. Joseph, MN. She worked for 20 years as the housekeeper at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church Rectory in Richmond, MN. She then worked as the house-keeper at the Church of St. Mary's Rectory in Chokio, MN for four years. Monica then worked in many different households as a housekeeper in St. Cloud, MN for several years. In 2003 she gave-up housekeeping and became a resident of Mother Lucille's Home in Richmond. She became a resident of the Koronis Manor Nursing Home in Paynesville in September of this year. This has been her home since that time.
She is survived by: one sister Alvina Spoden of Cold Spring, MN, one niece Lillian (DelRoy) Schreifels and Virgil (Carol) Spoden both of Richmond, MN, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by, her parents.
