Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church for Jerome C. Meyer, 91, who died Saturday at St. Cloud Hospital.Burial will be in the parish cemetery.Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Daniel Funeral Home. St. Joseph Senior Citizens will pray at 4 p.m. at the funeral home in St. Joseph followed by parish prayers at 7.
Jerome Meyer was born in Arbon to Frank and Walburga (Reisinger) Meyer. He married Lucy Holbach on Aug. 27, 1940, in St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot, N.D. He lived in the Waite Park and St. Joseph areas most of his married life. He worked for Burlington Northern Railroad and later worked as a contractor for home building. He retired in 1972. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; daughters and sons, Marvel Brown, Jay, Michael and Wayne of St. Joseph, Marlene of St. Louis Park, Geri Twedt, Jeanine Okland and Lynette Lozinski of St. Cloud, and Georgia Mehr of Eau Claire, Wis.; 18 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one stepgreat-grandson; and sister, Ann Kvetensky of Minneapolis.He was preceded in death by infant daughter, Mary; and sisters and brothers, Theresa Proell, Cora Ballman, Frances Bidinger, Marie Schmidt, Loretta Noga, Aurelia Anderson, Leona Roth, Gertrude, John, Joseph, Henry, Frank, Louie, Anton and Edward.
