Anna Schoenberg was born on 04 Jun 1866 in Marytown, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to Johann Joseph & Anna Marie (Fritz) Schoenberg. She was the 6th of the 10 children of Joseph & Anna Marie (Fritz) Schoenberg.
In 1874, when Anna was 8 years old, she moved with her parents and siblings to a farm in Section 22 of Grove township - two miles east of Meire Grove, Stearns County, Minnesota.
In 1888, Anna Schoenberg married Lorenz "Lawrence" Thull, son of Theodore & Angela Thull. The marriage took place at St. Boniface Church in Melrose, MN.
Anna's younger sister, Barbara Schoenberg, married Lawrence's younger brother, Joseph Thull .
Anna & Lawrence (Lorenz) Thull lived in Freeport, Minn in Stearns County and had 4 children. Lawrence Thull built a hotel in Freeport in 1891 and was also engaged in the farm impliment business.
On 4 Sep 1897, after just 9 years of marriage, Lorenz "Lawrence" Thull died in Freeport at the age of 33. He was buried in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Freeport, Minn.
On May 4, 1909, her father, J. Joseph Schoenberg, died in Melrose.
On May 25, 1909, three weeks after her father passed away, Anna Thull married Joesph Buttweiler in Melrose, Stearns County. Joe & Anna Buttweiler lived in Freeport.
After nearly 24 years of marriage, Joe Buttweiler died February 4, 1933, age 84. Joe is buried in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Freeport, MN.
A few years after Joe's death, around 1935, Anna Thull Buttweiler moved in with her daughter, Katherine Thull Hoeschen and her husband Rudolph "Rudy" Hoeschen, in St. Cloud, MN.
Anna Thull Buttweiler died on 14 Aug 1958 in St. Cloud, MN at the age of 92 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery. She is survived by her four children, 11 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
