Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church for Norbert H. Brickweg, 85, who died Tuesday at Good Samaritan Home, Sauk Rapids. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home, Melrose. Parish prayers will be at 8 p.m. Friday followed by St. Bernard's Society Catholic Aid at 8:30 at the funeral home.
Norbert Brickweg was born in New Munich to Frank and Mary (Altendahl) Brickweg. He married Rose E. Sonnen on Oct. 9, 1945, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Melrose. They farmed in Melrose Township, Stearns County, moving to Melrose in 1998. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Bernard's Society Catholic Aid.
Survivors include his wife; sisters and brothers, Alma Herges, Raymond and Clarence of Melrose, and Martha Toenies of Royalton.
He was preceded in death by his sister and brother, Ann Woeste and Frank Jr.
