Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's Catholic Church for Theresa F. Meyer, 64, who died Tuesday at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky., from injuries received in an automobile accident.
Private interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home, Sauk Centre. Christian Mothers will pray at 7 p.m. Sunday followed by parish prayers at 8 at the funeral home.
Theresa Meyer was born in Lake Henry to Anton and Regina (Lieser) Fuchs. She married Julian G. Meyer on August 17, 1953, at St. Margaret's Catholic Church, Lake Henry. The couple farmed in Sauk Centre Township, Stearns County, until retiring and moving to Sauk Centre in 1997. She was a volunteer at Holy Family School, a former Gopher Prairie 4-H leader and hosted 4-H exchange students. She also hosted a fund-raiser at her home to build a church in Nicaragua. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Christian Mothers and Kozy Korners Homemaker's Club.
Survivors include her husband; children, Elaine Benusa of Melbourne, Australia, Kathleen Meyer Sontag of Stillwater, Diane Russell of Rochester, N.Y., Joseph of Boise, Idaho, Mark of Elrosa, Mary Fletcher of Valley Center, Calif., John of Palm Bay, Fla., Paul of Omaha, Neb., and Michael of St. Cloud; 13 grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Alice Stalboerger of Cold Spring, Bernie Hedke of Grove City, and George and Urban of Paynesville.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Rosemary Knoblach. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Rev. Ted Niehaus, the Rev. Dan Ohmann and the Rev. Breen at Mary Knoll Missionaries.
