Funeral services will be on Tuesday, March 5, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Wendelin's Catholic Church in Luxemburg for Lorraine M. Ludwig, age 76, of 22547-State Hwy 15, Luxemburg, who died on Friday at the St. Cloud Hospital. The Rev. Leon Slominski will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday between 4-9 p.m. at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and on Tuesday after 10:00 a.m. at Mary Hall in Luxemburg. St. Theresa's Catholic Aid Assn., and Christian Women will pray at 6:30 followed by the Parish Prayers at 7:00 p.m. Funeral arrangements are being made with the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.
Lorraine was born July 21, 1925 in Meire Grove to John and Caroline (Anton) Meyer. She married Peter A. Ludwig on June 1, 1948 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Meire Grove. She has been a resident of the Luxemburg Area since 1950. She was employed at Sterling Park Health Care Center for 17 years. She was a member of St. Wendelin's Catholic Church, St. Theresa's Catholic Aid Assn., and Christian Women.
Survivors: Her husband Peter, children: John Ludwig (Judy), Gerald Ludwig (Lanetta), and Patty Ludwig, all of St. Cloud; James Ludwig (Debbie), Carrie Sweeney (Dave), and Mark Ludwig (Lynn), all of Rice; Rose Salner (Bob), Clearwater; Rita Trivelpiece (Bill), Atlanta; Georgia Kevin Ludwig (Kay), Baltimore, Maryland; 22 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 step great-grandchildren, her mother, Caroline Meyer, Melrose; brothers and sisters: Herb Meyer, New Munich; Ralph Meyer, Paynesville; Philip Meyer, Greenwald; Cyril Meyer, Meire Grove; Mary Ann Wenker, Melrose; Joanne Fischer and Bernice Farmer, St. Cloud; and Ed Meyer, Cold Spring.
She was preceded in death by her father John B. Meyer, and one brother Jerome Meyer. Pallbearers will be: Jeffrey Ludwig, Melissa Ludwig, Ryan Salner, Brandon Sweeney, Leif Ludwig, and Jeremiah Ludwig.
