Ronald S. Klehr, age 54, of St. Martin, MN, died Wednesday, November 21, 2001, at his home. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 24 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin's Catholic Church in St. Martin. Burial will take place in the St. Martin Parish Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23 at the St. Martin Parish Hall and one hour prior to services on Saturday. St. Joseph's Men's Society will pray at 7:30 p.m. followed by Parish Prayers at 8 p.m. The Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville made arrangements.

Ron was born April 5, 1947, in Richmond, MN to Roman and Theresa (Gruber) Klehr. He married Carol Klaphake on September 19, 1970, at St. Martin's Catholic Church in St. Martin. He farmed on the family farm near St. Martin all of his life. He was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church and St. Joseph's Men's Society. Ron was a well-known concertina player who began his career with the Jolly Bohemians, and later started his own band called Ron's Concertina Band. For the last 10 years he played with Stan's Country Dutchman. His final appearance was to play for the St. Martin's Firemen's Supper.

Surviving Ron is his wife Carol (Klaphake); 5 sons, Scott (Jean) of Freeport, Corey at home, Rick (Lisa) of Richmond, Steven of Ottertail and Patrick at home; 2 grandchildren, Brittany and Kyle; mother, Theresa; and 2 brothers and 5 sisters.

Preceding him in death is his father, Roman and sister. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parker Hughes Cancer Center and St. Cloud Hospice will be much appreciated.
