Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2003 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville for Rose T. Lieser, age 91, of Paynesville, who died Tuesday at the Koronis Manor in Paynesville. Entombment will take place in the St. Louis Parish Mausoleum in Paynesville. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. on Friday, February 14, and after 9 a.m. on Saturday at the Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville. The Daughters of Isabella will pray along with St. Louis Christian Women, St. Ann's Christian Women of Spring Hill, her Mission Group and Paynesville Catholic Aid Association at 4:30 p.m. followed by Parish Prayers at 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Rose was born January 6, 1912 in St. Martin, Minnesota to Math and Elizabeth (Kirchner) Mehr. She married Jacob J. Lieser on May 9, 1933 at St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martin. They farmed in the Spring Hill area until retirement in 1966 when they moved to Paynesville. Surviving Rose are her sons Richard (Carol) of St. Cloud, Gerald (Marlene) of Spring Hill, Ronald (Lucille) of Lake Henry and Robert (Jeanette) of Spring Hill, 17 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, brothers John Mehr of Roscoe, and Alphonse (Catherine) Mehr of Richmond, and sister Alice (Ben) Middendorf of St. Cloud.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband (1996), infant son Vernon, one infant grandson, brothers and sisters Agnes, Frank, Sylvester, Mark, Robert and Ruth Mehr. Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville made the arrangements.
