Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Martin Catholic Church for Robert P. Mehr, 77, who died Saturday at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Sauk Rapids.Burial will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, Richmond.Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday and two hours before services Wednesday at St. Martin Parish Center. Catholic Aid and Catholic Order of Foresters will pray the rosary at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the parish center in St. Martin followed by parish prayers at 8 and St. Joseph Men's Society rosary at 9.Arrangements were made by Wenner Funeral Home, Cold Spring.
Robert Mehr was born in St. Martin to Mathias and Elizabeth (Kirchner) Mehr. He married Rogaria Bueckers on May 29, 1944, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Freeport; they later divorced. He farmed the family farm until his retirement in 1983. He was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church, Catholic Aid, Catholic Order of Foresters and St. Joseph Men's Society.
Survivors include children, Arlene F. Faber of Rockville, Diana E. Goebel of Jordan, and Matthew M. of St. Anthony; sisters and brothers, Rose Lieser of Paynesville, Alice Middendorf of St. Cloud, John of Roscoe, and Alphonse of Richmond; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by children, Rose Mary and Rodney; and sisters and brothers, Agnes, Ruth, Frank J., Markus and Sylvester.In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
