Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, St. Joseph, for Edward O. Sinclair, 93, who died Friday at Assumption Home, Cold Spring. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. on Sunday and after noon Monday at Daniel Funeral Home, St. Joseph. St. Joseph Senior Citizens will pray at 4 p.m., followed by parish prayers at 7 and Knights of Columbus at 8.
Edward Sinclair was born in St. Martin to James and Ellen (Sullivan) Sinclair. He married Bertha Hemmesch on Sept. 27, 1932, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Richmond. They farmed in the St. Martin area until his retirement in 1971, when they moved to St. Joseph. He had been a resident of Assumption Home in Cold Spring since August of 1999. He was a member of the St. Joseph Senior Citizens, Knights of Columbus Council 7057, and St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Edward is survived by his wife of Cold Spring; children, Carol Butkowski of Cold Spring, James of Dallas, Dennis of Arlington Heights, Ill., Kenneth of Maple Grove, Pat Collett of St. Joseph, and Shirley Funk of St. Cloud; 24 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughters, Joann Stanczyk and Eileen Nierengarten; sisters, Mary Sinclair and Julie Blonigan; and brothers, Isaac, Dan, James, John, Charles, and Bart.
