Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. TODAY, January 12, 2006 at the Williams Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud for Mary Kay Metzger, 54, who died Wednesday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Private services will be held Saturday morning. Entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery. A Prayer service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Friday evening.
Mary was born to the late Aloys and Irene (Schulte) Hemmesch in Richmond. She married Linus Metzger on June 28, 1978 in St. Cloud. She worked at the Waite Park Nursing Home as a Nurse's Aide for 25 years. She enjoyed spending time with family, playing cards, bingo and playing with her dog, Beepers.
Mary is survived by her husband, Linus; siblings: Jack (Fran) Hemmesch of Cottage Grove; Grace (Ed) Archer of Adrian; Joan (Don) Lemke, Howard Hemmesch, Les (Patricia) Hemmesch, Jeffrey (Mary Lou) Hemmesch, Dean (Michelle) Hemmesch all of Richmond; Jane Klein of Sauk Centre; Rita (Dick) Stanger of St. Cloud; brother-in-law, Conrad Soschnik of Cold Spring; sisters-in-law: Bev Hemmesch of Rice and Renate (Bill) Schaefer of Rockville; goddaughter, Kimberly Nelson of Anchorage, AK.
Mary was preceded in death by brothers: Rick and Don Hemmesch; sisters: Edna Hemmesch and Norma Soschnik; sister-in-law, Deanna Hemmesch and brother-in-law, Herb Klein.
