Photo Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church for Marie E. Wieber age 86, who died Sunday at Hilltop Good Samaritan Center, Watkins, MN. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Wenner Funeral Home, Richmond. The Golden Smiles and Christian Women will pray at 4:30 p.m., parish prayers will be at 8:00 p.m.
Marie was born in St. Nicholas, MN to Peter and Elizabeth (Kinzer) Lahr. She married Edmund Wieber on June 14, 1939 in St. Nicholas Catholic Church, St. Nicholas. The couple farmed four miles south of Richmond. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Christian Women.
Survivors include her children; Donald (Sherry), Avon; Marlene (James) Hesse, Watkins; Robert (Diane), Richmond; Stanley (Sandy) Olney, IL; JoAnn (James) Jancik, Chanhassen; brother; Frank, Eden Valley; sisters; Angeline Shay, Sartell; Lorraine Spoden, St. Cloud; Aurelia Becker, Cold Spring; 18 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Mary Ann; brothers, George, Alcuin, Ralph, Leander, Peter, Ovide, Herbert, Raynold; sisters Elizabeth Braun, and Isabelle Bares.
