Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 27 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose for LouAnn Kemper who died Wednesday at the Melrose Area Hospital following a valiant fight against leukemia. Rev. Vince Lieser will officiate with interment following in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. followed by Christian Mothers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening at the funeral home in Melrose.

Survivors include her husband, Arnold "Arnie" Kemper; three children, Geri (Steve) Boecker, Greg Kemper and Duane (Shelley) Kemper, all of Melrose; three grandchildren, Amanda, Devin and Ashley Kemper; brothers, Cel (Rita) Toenies of St. Cloud, Gene (Nettie) Toenies of Cold Spring, Al (Marty) Toenies of Royalton, Rich (Phyllis) Toenies of Red Lake, Ed (Audrey) Toenies of Grey Eagle and Harry (Jen) Toenies of Melrose. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Anna (Willenbring) Toenies; and sister, Marie Rau.
