Females: 2 = under 5, 1 = 5-10, 2 = 10-15, 1 = 30-40, total = 13.

Wallis, Thomas 1836
He signed his Will on Jan. 31, 1836 and it was probated Nov. 7, 1836. In his will he left his estate to his wife and after her death, it was to go to his children. He appointed William Wallis and Mark Polson as Executors. witnesses to his will were Nicholas H. BaconWilliam Wallis, Reuben Wallis, and Josiah Wallis. (Reviewing the papers in this file, I have determined that his wife's name was Rachel Wallis and that she died on Jan. 14, 1889 because that was the date the undertaker shows a bill for the funeral services and the casket., etc.) In this file is a list of items Rachel Wallis had given her children while she was still living. They were named as follows. Anderson Owens and his wife, Josiah Wallis, D. Jabus Wallis, William Wallis, Thomas H. Wallis, Elizah Owens and his wife Seny Owens, Mary Ann amanda Wallis, Bennett Spivey and his wife Ally Spivey, and Jonathan Polson and his wife Sary Wallis Polson. Listed in the estate inventory was 2021/2 acres of land. There was a receipt dated Dec. 1890 where Mary L. Wallis signed for $17.29 being her 1/9 share of the estate. There is a power of attorney from Richmond County that William H. Wallis signed giving Power of Attorney to John F.
Walllis, receipt signed by J. H. Wallis dated Nov. 29, 1890 in Covington, Georgia where he is receiving 1/7th of 1/9th share of his estate as the son of Josiah Wallis, deceased. There is a receipt dated Dec. 20, 1890 signed by Amanda Wallis with her mark for $155.64 as her share of the estate. There is a receipt dated Oct. 8, 1890 by the attorey for H. T. Wallis, Sr. as his distributive share in the amount of $155.64. There is a receipt signed by the following persons for $133.38 being their 6/7th of 1/9th of their share of the estate being the children of Seny, the daughter of the desceased and there mother. These signitures were all signed by their mark, they being Rachel Owens, Sarah E. Swann, Mary N. Owens, Josiah N. Owens, W. T. Owens and Louisa Chanler. There is a receipt dated Nov. 26, 1890 where James Owens signed with his mark reciving 1/7th of 1/9th of said estate being the son of seny, daughter of the deceased. There wasa receipt for $88.92 being the 4/7th of 1/9th share of said estate as the children ofJosiah Wallis deceased, and him being the son of Thomas Wallis, deceased, those signatures were B. G. Wallace, W. U. Wallace, N. C. Wallace and Gennie Wallace. A receipt dated Dec. 1, 1890 from J. H. Wallis where he signed his mark for $22.23 being his share of the estate being 1/7th of 1/9th share being the son of Josiah Wallis. A receipt of $22.23 dated Nov. 29, 1890 where H. J. Wallis signed for his 1/7th of 1/9th interest being the son oof Josiah Wallis, deceased. There is a receipt for $17.29 being the 1/9th interest in the estate and it is signed by Newt Wallace. There is a Power of Attorney in the file where where Josiah . Spivey, Amanda M. Shepperd and Saphrona Blackman of DeKalb County, Georgia appoint Bennett J. Spivey as their attorney in fact to receive their share of the estate which was being 1/9th share of the estate. A receipt dated Dec. 9, 1890 for $17.29 which was signed by his attorney for George Wingate being 1/9th of 1/9th share of the estate. There is a receipt for $155 signed with his mark S. A. Polson and it is dated Nov. 12, 1890. There is a receipt dated Dec. 9, 1890 for $17.29 signed by the agents of S. E. Wallis and being their 1/9th of 1/9th share of the estate. There is a receipt for $155.64 signed by Denie Owens and she had mentioned that Rachel Wallis was her mother. There is a Power of attorney dated Nov. 25, 1890 made in the State of Mississippi in the County of chickasaw and it where Dora Wallis, James Wallis, and Connie Wallis gave Power of Attorney to H. P. anderson of Newton County to collect on the estate of Thomas Wallis their share coming to them. They received $17.29 each as they were the children of William Wallis and the grandchildren of Thomas Wallis, deceased. William Wallis died and he left a wife and eight children. (34 documents)
