Death
Wartime story told about Frank Stainthorp:Apparently he and 1 or 2 others went out into no-man's land for a wounded soldier and thats when he was killed. Not sure how it came about but [Robin Stainthorp] told me. The story is that he was doing his rounds, bringing food up to the front and the call went out for volunteers when he was there, so he volunteered, I'm afraid thats all I know.
