Joann Patrick
(1888 - )
Hi Jim, I received this a long time ago from my cousin Ann Presti (Patric k) I don't know if she got it from you or not. Joan was Mary's sister . I used to see her every work day going to her job in a stocking factory ,where she was in charge of the girls(she wasn't well liked!!)
I don't think she was ever kissed or went a holiday in her whole live. Sh e always spoke to me and my mother, but completely ignored my father!! Yo u'll see she left close to 11,00 pounds in her will. That was a vast amou nt of money back then. You could buy a new house for 2,500 pounds. When s he retired from her job, the company gave her a television set and when s he died "they" found the TV still in it's unopened box! Tom
