William Columbus Eaves

(26 Oct 1815 - 19 Sep 1898)

While quite small, William's parents moved from Tennessee to Huntsville, Alabama. In 1832, he came to Union County where his parents followed him a year later. William served as a Deputy Sheriff and two terms on the Board of County Commissioners before becoming Judge of the County Commissioner's Court. William was previously married to Martha Williams, and he and Mary each had three children when they married. Five additional children were born to this union, three girls and two boys. One boy and one girl died while quite young. William died at his residence at 218 Washington Street and was buried in the Anna Cemetery. His son-in-law, Joseph Culp, served as executor of his estate.
