Death
County Native Dies at RockvilleLova Mae Underwood, 61, of Sheridan, passed away Thursday night at the Rockville Sanitarium, where she had been a patient since December.
Services will be held at 3 pm Saturday at the Pettijohn Funeral Home in Sheridan in charge of Rev. Sarah Rayle. Burial will be in Crown View cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home any time.
A native of Hamilton County, Miss Underwood was the daughter of Hannibal and Emma Barker Underwood. Until 1940 she made her home with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thistlethwaite.
Survivors include her step-mother, Mrs. Alice Shields, of Noblesville; a half brother, Luther Underwood, also of Noblesville; an uncle, Arthur Barker, of Sheridan; an aunt, Mrs Amos Leap, of Sheridan; and several cousins. [1]
