who was in the U. S. Army Calvary out west for 6 years in the 8th & 11th Regiments, & then joined the Canadian Calvary in 1916 because he felt that the U.S. was not going to enter the war & he wrote my grandmother saying that something had to be done as the Germans were killing Armenian women & children..He was killed in action in France in March 1917 before the U.S. entered the war & is buried in Villars Station Military Cemetery in France.
