Joseph R. Baker

Joseph Baker helped care for the wounded soldier of the Revolutionary War at Valley Forge and Brandywine had his last horse taken from him for use in the service. The children were all born and raised in Pa. Chester Co., not many miles from Philadelphia and is said the community or part was then called the White Marsh Valley and was situated just twelve miles from the above named city. After Mary death, Joseph with the children and familys move to Highland Co. Ohio. Rachel Dilworth was the Dau. of James Dilworth
