Lois Newby, 76, Atlanta, died Thursday morning [12 Feb 1976] at the home of her daughter Mrs. Inez Gilpin, R. 1, Arcadia.
Services are set for Saturday at 4 p.m. in the Evans-Godby-Trout Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Roland officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary anytime. Burial will be in the Hinkle Creek Cemetery.
The widow of Paul Newby, who died in 1961, Mrs. Newby was born in 1899 in Hortonville. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kivett.
Surviving in addition to Mrs. Gilpin are two other daughters: Elsie Thompson of Anderson and Velma Martin of Noblesville; a sister, Mrs Esther Wickens of Phoenix; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. [1]
