Patricia A. Mescar, 64, of Hillsdale, passed away Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, at the Laurels of Coldwater. She was born Aug. 10, 1944 in Hillsdale to Donald and Martha (Haas) Varney.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Welch of San Antonio, Texas and Pamela (Robert) Thomas of Nappanee, Ind.; a son, Nolan Mescar; sisters, Janet Webb of Hillsdale and Marcia Straley of Honor; two brothers, Jimmy Varney of Florida and Larry (Vicki) Varney of Hudson; half sister, Nancy (Mike) Halifax of Hastings; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and her step-mother, Marge Varney of Hastings.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald; mother and step-father, Royal and Martha Kipp; and brother Ronnie.
Cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service for Patricia Mescar at a later date at Maple Grove Cemetery in Jefferson Township. Arrangements are entrusted to the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale.
