These tools were used by Walt Robbins, Sr - He obtained them in a wooden carpenters toolbox that had belonged to his uncle Christopher Columbus Robbins ID0071 at his death on 12 Oct 1946.I distinctly remember the big toolbox and all its contents. The toolbox is no longer in existence and I don't know of any photos of it.
The Toolbox was about 3 feet long and about 18 inches wide and about 18 inches high. It had a lid that was recessed. The lid was fitted with specialized places for various tools. The tools were locked in with swiveling wooden knobs that kept the various tools in place. In the bottom section of the toolbox there were also different areas created for specific tools with their own mechanisms to keep them in place. As I recall there were rope handles on each end of the box. The box was painted red.
