Jeremiah first appeared in my records in the 1850 US Census in the household of Michael and Hannah Klinger in Preble County, Ohio. He is listed as 3 yrs. old.
I had no other information on Jeremiah until I received emails from in March 2015. She stated that he was the illegitimate son of Hannah Klinger, ID1256 (daughter of Michael & Hannah Klinger) and an unknown man named Paullus.
She also stated that he took the name Lizer (his mother had married Dan Lizer) and later began using the surname of Paullus for the rest of his life.

Message from , Ancestry.com, 26 Feb 2015:hannah klinger is my second great grandmother/she had a child out of wedlock in 1847,named jeremiah,showing on the census as jeremiah klinger age 3 in 1850....she later married Daniel Lizer and moved to Indiana and where Jeremiah became Jeremiah R. Paullus. I am trying to find out the father of jeremiah paullus and my whole family has been unable to discover any information for the last 20 yrs.now my uncles are deceased and I do not know what to do to continue the Paullus tree search but see new information and people sources and that is why I have sent you this messed up message!!!! Thank you for any help you can give me!!!!
