"In the year 1779 a certificate was issued to Johann Peter Haas for the operation of the 'Nahe Ferry Oberhausen'. We have a picture of the ferry station as it appeared in 1961. Late that year it burned. They were trying to preserve the house for future generations. I [ID0379] visited the area in 1986 and found no trace of it. When I returned in 1990 they were rebuilding. We have pictures of the new structure. Johann Peter continued to live in the Ferry House until his death 15 May 1806."Marriage
