Last Will & Testament - Margaret Redmond
This is the Last Will and Testament of me, Margaret Redmond, hereby revoking all former Wills by me. I give and bequeath to the Rector and Wardens of Christ Church, Windsor, N.S. my house and property on the east side of Stanners Street on the solemn condition that they provide for the care and upkeep forever of the grave of my son, Thomas Matthew Redmond, in Maplewood Cemetery. I appoint the Rev. C. Patterson Symth, Rector of Windsor, as my executor.

1881 Census indicates Religion as Roman Catholic - 1891 Census is changed to Church of England. Would appear she changed after death of her husband, John Census indicates she was of German Descent.
NOTE: Margaret Levi born circa 1850 somewhere in NS, died 1925 in Windsor. According to the 1881 census Margaret is listed as Catholic, born in Nova Scotia of German Ancestry. The 1891 census, after husband John has died, lists her a Church of England. The 1890/1891 Windsor Directory lists a Redmond Margaret Mrs. Widow 72 Stannus St. The town record at Windsor identify the property but the house has since been destroyed. Margaret's will gave the property on Stannus St. to the Anglican Church on the condition the grave of her son be maintained forever. Margaret is buried in Maplewood Cemetery on the out skirts of Windsor, in the same plot as her youngest son Thomas. The inscriptions are on either side of the stone. Conjecture only leads me to think Margaret, of German ancestr y, became Catholic at the time of her marriage and reverted to the CoE after John passed away.
The marker reads: R - MARGARET WIFE OF JOHN REDMOND. Died June 14, 1925 - Aged 74 Yrs. (notes from Rob)
CHRISTENING: (06 JUL 1865 Christ Church Ang Sherbrooke, New Ross, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia - this is information for christening). Further note, other siblings also christened same time.
McALPINE DIRECTORY 1907-1908 shows "Maggie" widow of John on Stannus Street and son John residing on Gray St with brother Edward.
