NS Archives record: This is my mother's Grandfather. Record indicates he is of Irish Ancestry, Born in England in 1846 and died in 1885 in Windsor, NS, Roman Catholic and he was a labourer. According to the 1881 census John was born in England of Irish ancestry and married to Margaret. Their wedding certificate indicates her maiden name as Levi. He is buried alongside his father Edward. His marker is no longer standing and is lying on the ground in bad disrepair. It has been encased in cement to protect it. His wife Margaret is buried in a different cemetery.
