Dominic Gniewek and Mary Petrie were married August 3, 1949, in Immaculate Conception Church, Dominion, by Rev. R.J. Laffin. They were blessed with six children.
Larry lives in Sydney, Kevin, Sydney, married Rose Mugridge and has one boy and one girl. Dominic, Halifax, married Ann Moores and has one boy. Victoria lives in Halifax. Tony lives in Halifax. Karen lives in Thunder Bay.
Mary has been an active member of the Altar Society for many years. Dominic sings in the St. Mary's Choir. He is a member of St. Michael's Benefit Society and was President for three terms. He was also a warden of the church for some years. As a youngster, Dominic was an altar boy with Father O'Connell for years. Dominic worked in the Open Hearth Dept. of the Steel Plant and retired November 25, 1982.
