According to the Sheboygan County, Wisconsin Marriage Register, Otto was white. The wedding ceremony was contracted according to the rites of the Lutheran Church. The subscribing witnesses were Christian Hinz, Ernst Koehler, Friedricke Koehler and Anna Marold. Fr. Volbrecht, of Sheboygan, pronounced the marriage. The certificate was dated 30 Jun 1900 and registered on 10 Jul 1900.Census

An obituary was provided by Louise Dowty, of the Sheboygan County (Wisconsin) Historical Research Center, on 22 Feb 1993. According to the obituary, Otto was survived by his wife; four sons, John of Cleveland, WI; Paul of town of Sheboygan, Otto of Sheboygan Falls and Edwin of Town Sheboygan; three daughters, Mrs. William (Eliza) Meinnert, Town Sheboygan Falls; Mrs. Herbert (Eleanor) Theil, Sheboygan, and Miss Emma at home. One daughter preceded him in death 26 years prior. Also survived by 23 grandchildren; two brothers, Louis of Town Sheboygan and Christ of Sheboygan; four sisters, Eliza Hinz of Santa Ann, CA; Mrs. Henry Meyer of Maywood, IL; Mrs. Henry Dehn of Queenamo, KA, and Mrs. Ernst Amling of Santa Anna, CA.Endnotes
