Obituary
BANGOR - Miss Marcia S. Parker, 92, died Oct. 30, 1980, at a local hospital following a brief illness. She was born in Glenburn on Feb. 9, 1888, the daughter of Capt. Hiram N. and Elizabeth (Johnson) Parker. She was educated in Glenburn schools and attended Ricker Classical Institute in Houlton. She was employed in Manchester, N.H., as a stitcher in men's shoes for the Sears Roebuck Co. for many years and later in the Methodist Home for Aged Women in New Haven, Conn. For the past five years she made her home with her niece, Mrs. George R. Moore, Pushaw Road, Bangor. Surviving besides her niece, Mrs. Moore, are several other nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., with the Rev. Donald L. Olson, pastor of the Glenburn Evangelical Convenant Church, officiating. Interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery, Glenburn. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m.Endnotes
