James E. McGinty, 49, a life-long Bangor resident, died suddenly Saturday afternoon at a local hospital after a short illness. He made his home at 183 Elm Street. He was the son of James H. and Annie Russell McGinty. Surviving are his wife, Mary E. McGinty; one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence C. Brewster, Jr., of Bangor, and three grandchildren. Mr. McGinty was a member of Pine Cone Council, No. 114, Knights of Columbus; the Fourth Degree Assembly of the Knights of Columbus, and the Bangor Lodge of Elks. A graduate of Bangor High School, he was an outstanding athlete. The remains are at the family home, 183 Elm Street. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock at St. John's Catholic Church.Endnotes
