Mrs. Irene H. Logan, 74, of 159 Grant St., died Monday in a local hospital after a long illness. She was born in Bangor Jan. 6, 1896, the daughter of Murtaugh Hughes and Mary Oslina Pooler. Mrs. Logan was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. She is survived by four daughters, Miss Winnifred Logan, with whom she lived, Mrs. Robert Kenny of Connecticut, Mrs. Virginia Massey of Massachusetts and Mrs. Germaine Brooks of California; three sons, Franklin and John Logan, both of Portland, and Charles Logan of New York; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Brannagan of Framingham, Mass., and Mrs. Grace Barton of Bangor; 14 grandchildren and a great-grandson. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday from 749 Congress St. followed by a High Mass of Requiem in Sacred Heart Church at 9 a.m. Interment will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor.Endnotes
