Obituary
BANGOR and EDDINGTON - Joanne U. Saindon, 81, wife of the late Horace I. Saindon, of Bangor and a resident of Eddington for 28 years, died June 5, 2008, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Oct. 11, 1926, in Bangor, daughter of Robert E. and Annie C. (Malone) Bolduc. Joanne was a perfectionist, impeccable dresser, wonderful cook, seamstress, loved gardening and canning. She was devoted to her friends, volunteered at The Attic and totally committed to helping others in need. Joanne will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Surviving are four children, James Lee Saindon and his wife, Ginger, of Huntington, Utah, Christina C. Kish of Nanty-Glo, Pa., N. Joseph Saindon and his wife, Lila, of Gorham, and Charles R. Saindon and his wife, Estelle, of Lyman; 10 grandchildren, Shawn and Joanne Saindon, Michelle Kish, Melissa Walker, Evelyn Kish, Eric, Michael, Tara Lynn, Nicole and Renee Saindon; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Patty Costigan of Costigan; one brother, Timothy Sullivan of Connecticut; nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Horace, she was predeceased by a sister, Judy Canavan; and one brother, Thomas Sullivan. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 4-7 p.m. Sunday, June 8, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, June 9, at St. John's Catholic Church, York Street, Bangor, with the Rev. Thomas Lequin, celebrant. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor.
