Obituary
Kenduskeag, Jan. 15 - Funeral services for Miss Susan M. Herrick, 87, were held at her residence Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. William Gordon officiating. Miss Herrick, who passed away at her home Monday following a long illness, was born February 7, 1870, in Levant, the daughter of Henry and Harriet (Harvey) Herrick. She graduated from Eastern State Normal School, Castine, and taught school for many years. She was a member of the Baptist Church, Ladies Aid and WCTU. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Edith Waugh of Kenduskeag; several nieces and nephews. Bearers at the funeral service were Arthur Griffin, Claude Brown, John Leathers, Francis Harvey. Interment was in the family lot in Kenduskeag.Endnotes
