HOULTON - Medston P. Doyle, 89, passed away Feb. 6, 2005, surrounded by her family. She was born July 24, 1915, at Houlton, the daugher of Charles A. and Alma J. (Estabrook) Spooner and the wife of the late Ollie M. Doyle. Meddie spent her life taking care of her family. She enjoyed doing things with her hands, one was crocheting, with love in every stitch; she shared this with her family and friends. Her greatest joy in life was her camp at Deering Lake in Orient. Here she watched her family grow and enjoyed the simple ways of life, morning coffee outside watching the loons, and the many friends that she took into her heart and family. She leaves behind her three daugthers, Martha J. Clark and her husband, Stephen, of Madison, Ala., Barbara H. Bossie and her husband, Will, Tonya L. Corbett and her husband, Craig, all of Houlton; four grandchildren, Corey and Casey Corbett of Houlton, Bruce Fitzpatrick and Jacob of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and of Rhode Island, Blaise Fitzpatrick and his wife, Virginia, and daughters, Claude and Claire of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, George Spooner and his wife, Muriel and their family of Hartford, Conn.; two very special daughters-in-law, Jean Fitzpatrick and Patricia Fitzpatrick, both of North Kingston, R.I.; her very dear cousin, Emmons Whittier of Houlton; special friends, Priscilla and Roland Knights of Orient. She was predeceased by her husband; her three brothers, Lawrence, Theodore and Claude; her three sisters, Pauline Tocci, Dorothy Stone and Margaret Lewis; and her son, Robert G. Fitzpatrick. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Dunn Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday with the Rev. V. R. Sixberry officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Gifts may be made in Meddie's memory to the Houlton Regional Hospital Respiratory Dept. or the Cary Library, care of Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park St., Houlton ME 04730.Endnotes
