Marriage
They were married by Father Gibbons. The bride was unattended and only immediate relatives witnessed the ceremony. The bride wore a simple gown of pure white organdie. A wedding breakfast followed the ceremony, served at the home of the groom's mother, Mrs. Emma Van Vorhes, 486 Marshall Avenue. The rooms and table were decorated with red and yellow nasturtiums. Edwin and Julia left on the afternoon train for a short trip.Endnotes
