Obituary
Mrs. Vera J. Dempsey, 75, died April 22 in a local nursing home. The widow of James Dempsey, she was a resident of Kenduskeag. She was born in Kenduskeag, Oct. 19, 1894, the daughter of John and Lottie (Barwise) Hasey. She lived most of her live in Massachusetts, returning to Kenduskeag a year ago. She leaves a sister, Mrs. Nellie Kain of Lincoln, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Clark-Mitchell Funeral Home, 299 Union St. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Endnotes
