Bio Note
The Bangor Daily Whig and Courier quoted the following compliment published in the Sweetwater Gazette of Green River, Wyoming. "The contest for Sheriff was very close with a small majority in favor of Mr. Vickery. The Sheriff-elect has been Probate Judge and Treasurer for the past two years, and if he performs the duties of his new office as well as he has attended to his work in the Treasurer's department, he will step down from the shrievalty with a spotless record."Endnotes
